I embarked on my legal journey as a Barrister, with the privilege of being dual-qualified in both the UK and Pakistan. Driven by a desire to forge deeper connections with clients and provide more hands-on support, I decided to requalify as a Solicitor. My fascination with transport regulatory law inspired me to pursue a Transport Manager CPC for both HGV and PSV, complemented by auditing experience in key compliance frameworks such as FORS, Earned Recognition, and Full Compliance.
Today, I practice as an independent Freelance Solicitor, dedicating my expertise exclusively to transport regulatory matters, with a particular emphasis on Operator Licensing and compliance. My approach is rooted in a commitment to clarity and practicality—offering straightforward, cost-effective advice tailored to each client’s unique circumstances. I strive to demystify the complexities of compliance, ensuring my guidance is not only thorough but also accessible and actionable, empowering clients to navigate regulatory challenges with confidence.
With over 12 years of legal experience across two jurisdictions—spanning immigration, litigation, constitutional law, conveyancing, and now transport regulatory law—I offer clients a uniquely broad perspective. I specialise in providing precise, tailored guidance to individuals and businesses at every stage of growth, enabling them to confidently navigate the complexities of compliance with clarity and assurance. By working closely with their consultants, I take a holistic approach to addressing personal and business challenges, ensuring practical solutions that make the path to compliance straightforward and manageable.
Law was not where my journey began. I initially pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Business, followed by a Master of Letters in Finance and Management, which provided me with a strong foundation in strategy and analysis. My early career at a major UK bank offered valuable insights into the corporate world, but it was during this time that I realised my true calling lay elsewhere. Driven by a deep passion for justice and advocacy, I made the transformative decision to retrain as a lawyer—a choice that reshaped my professional path and one I have never regretted.
Two of my more unusual qualifications are a D1 minibus licence and a UK private pilot’s licence. I obtained the D1 licence to better understand the skills required by professional drivers, though my minibus-driving career hasn’t exactly taken off (yet!). My private pilot’s licence, however, is a different story—it’s the qualification I cherish most. After all, let’s be honest, nothing quite compares to trading traffic jams for the freedom of the skies!
